Yeah, we really love the ninjas. We’ll show you the finished product soon, but we wanted to give you a li’l sneak peek in the meantime.

We’re living in the moment after this holiday weekend. Hope yours was as eventful as ours! To keep the fun going, here’s Ten Thing: We love about RIGHT NOW!
1. Unflattering Portraits as pictured above! Misanthrope Co. and Sweetie Pie Press have been here working away. Check out the awesome portraits here and the buttons here [or here!].
2. Boy, does it feel like summer or what? 90 degrees and breezy! We’re still thinking about water parks…A trip to the Dells maybe?
3. and that means right now we love air conditioning too!
4. Smog’s ‘A River Ain’t Too Much to Love’ on the record player up front and Lambchop in the back room. But wait! An amazing customer and unflattering portrait recipient just brought us an Abner Jay record to listen to RIGHT NOW. A+!!!
5. In Chicago this week? We’re having a tee and poster sale here 11-7 everyday!
6. Milk and Honey‘s cookie with everything in it– oatmeal, chocolate chip, toffee, and cherries. With an iced tea. Yum.
7. We love thinking about our yet to be made owl piñata. Renegade Handmade is turning 3 this month. Party!

Oh boy, oh boy, get excited…THIS SATURDAY (July 3rd!), swing by Renegade Handmade for an explosion of awesomeness. The Misanthrope Specialty Co. will be here sketching unflattering portraits & the lovely Sweetie Pie Press will be doing button-making demos from 12-5p. We had so much fun the last time these folks were here, and we’re so happy they were able to swing through town again.

Clay Curiosities is OPEN!
Sunday, June 27th, 2010At long last, our newest Spotlight Gallery show, Clay Curiosities, is open to the public! (CHEER!) We’re so excited to finally be able to share all of the amazing work with you. Everything came together so well– we love how colorful and open the gallery looks, and how well the very different pieces blended to make a cohesive show– who knew there was so much diversity in what you can make with clay?! But, more importantly: What do YOU think, blog-reading friends??
Seriously, can you believe how AWESOME this stuff is?!
The opening party last night was super fun, too! Special shout out our local artists, Susan from Up in the Air Somewhere and Amy from Soda, who stopped in to check out the show.
We are so so thankful to all the amazing artists who were lovely enough to participate in this show. If you’re in the Chicago area anytime between now and the end of August, this is certainly a show you don’t want to miss. And even if you can’t come in person, feel free to browse the individual pieces from the show in our online shop– it’s almost like being here!
